For your final papers, you must choose one of the broad thematic subjects below and come up with your own original topic. A helpful way to consider potential topics is to start with a question or problem that interests you, and consider possible answers. From there you can start drafting your thesis and gathering evidence to support your argument.

- Petro dollars and foreign aid
Email me by midnight on Sunday March 30, 2014 (i) your topic; (ii) your basic bibliography; and (iii) your basic thesis or argument.
Sources: you should be using 2-3 from the course itself and 2-3 from outside, that you have found yourselves.
Your papers will be 8-10 pages in length, in Times New Roman font, 12-point, double-spaced. You must cite all sources and include all pertinent information for the citation.
The final paper is due April 21, 2014 by midnight and remember this assignment is worth 40% of your final grade.
